Environmental Philosophy

Yorkholo Brewing Company understands the importance of

the environment and sustainability.  We try our best to not

waste any unnecessary items & believe in using renewable 

resources whenever possible. We are always trying to come

up with new ideas on how we can better ourselves and our

business to put less stress on the environment. We encourage

employees to recycle and compost in their lives and bicycle or

walk whenever possible. Here are just a few things we do:

> We Recycle and Compost.

>The malt from brewing beer is used for compost, cow feed,

 freshly baked bread & our veggie burgers.

>Our "to go" containers are provided through eco products.

The food containers are made from a natural and renewable resource,

sugarcane fiber. They are BPI certified, which means their

environmental claims about the product have been verified

through an objective third party organization. The to-go soup

containers are able to breakdown within 180 days in a commercial

compostable facility and are also BPI certified compostable.

Our straws are constructed completely from corn plastic and are

100%compostable as well. We will use linen napkins, however in the

event that we run out we  will have on hand eco products paper

napkins which are made from

100% recycled content and are fully compostable.
